Please note that we are unable to accept your application if you do not meet the following criteria. You will be working an average of 25 hours per week over 5 days. This role is two alternative afternoon shifts, 1200‑1700 & 1630‑2130. You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival for early and late shifts. Employment is subject to satisfactory Right to Work checks, a DBS check, and a safety‑critical medical assessment. Applicants must be over 18 years of age. Salary: £28,768 per annum (full‑time equivalent). The actual salary you receive will be pro rata, based on your part‑time hours.

In this role, as a Welcome Host, you’ll be the friendly face of Greater Anglia, delivering effective customer service while helping passengers travel smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities- Create a welcoming environment while providing proactive assistance to customers on and off trains, including deployment of ramps, luggage assistance, and use of the station wheelchair.
- Handle all matters related to safety, security, cash regulations, and maintenance of ticket machines.
- When required, carry out winter precautions in accordance with station arrangements.
- Maintain security at the station.
- Perform station cleaning to uphold the appearance of the station.
- Look for left items, ensure waste bins are secured, and confirm that doors are shut and/or locked during security checks.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Calm under pressure, able to think on feet, and handle various situations.
- “Can‑do” attitude and enjoyment of working as part of a team.
