Great Yarmouth Services Limited is a GYBC wholly owned Local Authority Trading Company, which started 1st April 2023. It was created to provide frontline and commercial services on behalf of the Council. GYS Ltd. are currently looking to recruit for a permanent full time Arborist Climber within our Open Spaces Department. The role reports directly to the Open Spaces Assistant Manager and Arboricultural Officer who leads and manages the GYS open spaces department teams across Great Yarmouth.
About You
The successful candidate will be required to work within a small team, with a minimum of supervision and be able to carry out physical tasks associated with the role. Permanent role, full-time, working 37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 and Friday 07:30 to 15:30. Closing date for applications: 28 August 2026. Interviews will be held on: TBC. About The Candidate
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the following skills, knowledge, and work experience:
- Experience in the Arboriculture
- Physically fit with previous experience in similar manual works.
- Full driving license
- Any acceptable NPTC or LANTRA qualifications
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Knowledge of COSHH legislation
