Are you looking for a new challenge and a role which will allow you to build relationships which help people make a real difference to their lives? The Social Landlord Service is looking for an experienced floor layer who can demonstrate the ability to carry out all aspects of welded flooring (wet rooms), safety stair edging, and transition areas. Responsibilities include:
- Applying latex and levelling compounds and associated products.
- Lifting and reinstalling or completing new installations to carpeted and hard floor areas within GYBC properties.
- Maintaining and improving council-owned properties and facilities.
The post holder will ensure all work is completed to a high standard, in line with health and safety regulations and customer service expectations.
About You
The ideal candidate would be an experienced Flooring Specialist with expertise in fitting vinyl, safety flooring, carpets, and hard flooring, as well as subfloor preparation and flooring repairs. They should be skilled at working safely in occupied homes and public buildings while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service to tenants, staff, and stakeholders. A proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to support wider maintenance tasks through broad trade knowledge is essential.
