With more than one hundred million passenger journeys each year, we carry people to over 275 stations in the South West, from Cornwall and South Wales to London, passing through beautiful country and some of the UK's top tourist destinations. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • The Route Frame Operator/Team Leader must be prepared to work to tight targets and deadlines to provide a full service to our customers.
  • The position is night and weekend work which is rostered.
  • Instruct, supervise and give information to the team.
  • The workload will be on a variety of Railway Traction.

You’ll need to be:

  • The successful candidate MUST be flexible, committed and enthusiastic.
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure is also essential while at all times maintaining high safety standards.
  • Ability to lead the team to meet the tight targets.

As a minimum, you will need to have:

  • Must be qualified to operate the Route Frame panel on depot.
  • Experience of leadership.
  • Minimum experience as a shunter - 2 years.

Additional Information:

  • The successful candidate must be based within a 60-minute commute of the depot.
  • If there is more than one successful applicant a reserve list will be created to fill roles which may arise within the next 6 months which may be of an alternative shift type.
