We are recruiting for a Talent Pool of Qualified Train Drivers who want to deliver a high-quality rail service across the GWR network. Our Qualified Train Drivers play a crucial role in setting a new standard for rail which is focused on creating a relaxed, fast, efficient, and fun experience for our passengers. In addition to this, our Drivers also provide the technical and operational specialism within our teams, delivering the highest standard of service.
We pride ourselves on both Safety and Customer services and are looking for people with excellent Safety Critical records, who enjoy being part of a team.
About You
The role requires exceptional focus and attention to detail. Your ability to follow protocols and make critical decisions will be second to none. Safety and our Passengers are at the heart of everything we do in GWR and to ensure our Qualified Drivers have the aptitude and passion to drive this, the application process involves an online Situational Judgement exercise, a review of the RSSB B1 Transfer of Safety Critical Information history and a selection interview which measures the key requirements of the role.
There are a few essentials to consider before applying:
- Do you live within 60 minutes commuting distance of the depot? For safety reasons you must live within this maximum commuting time to the job location and be able to arrive for a variety of shifts, including weekends and nights which will have varying start and finish times.
