About the job There is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the administration team at Reading Train Care Depot as a Depot Administrator. The successful candidate will be assisting with clerical duties with the aim of supporting the depot Management team to help meet business needs. Your main responsibilities will be: Planning and organising Training and Assessments to ensure competencies are up to date Note taking at fact finding interviews, divisional council meetings and any locally organised meeting where required to attend as note taker Assisting with the administration of Depot Briefings Maintaining competency filing and updating local spreadsheets Issuing Depot Vehicle Permits Upkeep of HR records Booking hotels, taxis, and meeting rooms Procurement Additional tasks as specified by local manager You’ll need to be: Well organised with a strong attention to detail and accuracy Able to communicate effectively (both verbally and written word) Able to respond well under pressure and prioritise workload accordingly whilst using own initiative Able to work as part of a team and with limited supervision Able to build and develop relationships within a team Able to keep a high level of confidentiality at all times and adhere to GDPR As a minimum you’ll need to have: Experience of working in a fast paced and challenging office environment Demonstrate strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills Experience in appropriate IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint A working knowledge of MS Outlook would be an advantage Must demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems and skills Previous Admin experience would be advantageous Additional Information: This is a fixed-term position for 12 months and will require working Monday to Friday, core business hours. There might be a requirement occasionally, for some out of hours working on an ad-hoc basis to fulfil business requirements. We all belong at GWR.
