About the role: The Crew Delivery Team Leader is responsible to the Head of Rosters and Resources and forms part of the Senior Rosters and Resources Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a Crew Delivery Team Leader, based in Western House Integrated Control Centre in Swindon. You will provide effective leadership to a passionate team of Crew Delivery Managers, you will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating the team to deliver traincrew in the right place at the right time, as well of this you will be leading the team through times of disruption working in partnership with colleagues from various areas of the Control Centre and Network Rail to maximise traincrew usage to deliver the service for our customers. The role will require you to provide business updates on traincrew challenges to the wider business so great communication skills are essential. The role has responsibility for performance management to ensure we play our part in delivering a Right Time Railway. The role is part of a roster covering 7 days a week. Do you have a good understanding of Traincrew terms and conditions? Can you think on your feet and solve problems, when you know a lot depends on the suggestions you produce? Are you someone who can cope well under pressure with changing demands of one of the UK’s busiest train networks and lead by example? Do you have good IT skills? Do you currently possess or are you open to pursuing an Assessors NVQ? This qualification is essential as the role involves conducting necessary periodic assessments of Crew Delivery Managers. Do you genuinely care about delivering a great service for our customers as they are at the heart of what we do. The role is based in Swindon can you get in/out of the office even when public transport may not be available. Computer literate in Office 365 and railway specific applications (TRUST, Integrale, CrewPlan – to name a few) Professional, clear communication and interpersonal skills. Previous line management experience. Have a good understanding of the Crew Delivery Manager role. Excellent knowledge of Traincrew Conditions of Service.
