We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Sales Supervisor to join our team at Bristol Temple Meads - one of GWR's flagship stations. You will also support the wider Bristol Suburban area, including the staffed office at Yatton Station. In this hands-on leadership role, you will work alongside two other supervisors to lead, coach, and support the Customer Sales team. You will ensure customers receive accurate ticketing advice and a great travel experience across the network.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading the sales team to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Managing ticket office operations, self-service machines, and admin tasks
  • Handling ticket refunds, cash reconciliation, and using retail/rostering systems
  • Maintaining compliance with all accountancy and documentation processes

What you’ll need

  • Supervisory and cash handling experience
  • Strong communication and IT skills (including GWR retail systems)
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude

Working Pattern

This role includes shift work (earliest start 06:00, latest finish 21:45), covering weekends and bank holidays. The ticket office operates 7 days a week and as part of the CSS team, Sunday working is part of the roster and is structured as 1 in 3.

What to Expect

After submitting your application you will complete an online assessment (recommended on a laptop/computer). Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a competency-based interview tentatively scheduled week commencing 16 February 2026. Full training will be provided, including a 3-week training programme in Swindon.
