Join to apply for the Payroll Supervisor role at Great Western Railway (GWR).
The Payroll team is based in central Bristol. The team is responsible for the production of weekly and four weekly payrolls for GWR, Transpennine Trains (TPTL), Hull Trains and Heathrow Express. The team processes payroll and pension data and assists with the resolution of queries from staff and external organisations. As a Payroll Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting colleagues and delivering a high-quality payroll service.
Responsibilities
- Collate, review and amend payroll data from various time and attendance systems. Import data into payroll systems and ensure interfaces are compliant.
- Support the payroll team, including checking work and covering as required.
- Provide support to the Payroll management team to ensure weekly and four-weekly payroll is completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with the GWR delegated authority matrix so managers have appropriate authorisation levels.
- Ensure GDPR compliance.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience in a large payroll department and working to tight deadlines.
- Experience dealing with multiple terms and conditions.
- Proactive with a positive can-do attitude.
- Professional, confident and with a high level of integrity.
- Able to provide excellent customer service.
- Proven knowledge of UK payroll legislation.
- Knowledge and understanding of pension and payroll processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Strong system skills and ideally Cyborg.
Location and Working Pattern
Based in a modern office space in central Bristol. Monday to Friday – 35 hours per week.
Additional Information
There will be a requirement to work occasional weekends and Bank holidays to ensure payrolls are delivered on time.
