We're looking for Gateline Assistants to be the friendly face at the station, assisting passengers and ensuring smooth fare collection. In this rewarding role, you'll help create a positive experience for every customer.
What You'll Do?
- Operate and manage automatic ticket gates.
- Check and issue tickets, helping customers without valid fares.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized gateline area.
- Sell tickets using a mobile machine when needed.
Working Pattern?
You should be flexible to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Full-time roles are 35 hours per week, following a rotating shift pattern with early shifts starting at 05:30 and late shifts finishing at midnight. Due to the nature of the shifts work involved in these roles, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
What to Expect?
After submitting your application, you'll complete an online assessment (recommended on a laptop/computer). Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a competency-based interview tentatively scheduled week commencing 13th April or 24th April. Successful applicants will need to pass a medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol screening, as well as a Basic DBS check. Full training will be provided, including a 3-week training programme in Swindon.
