As an integral part of our HQ Engineering team, you are responsible for delivering a world-class customer experience to our customers – helping us deliver our vision of revaluing rail in the hearts and minds of the travelling public. You will lead, direct and develop the strategic plan for Engineering assurance to promote a continuous improvement culture, which is embodied in the Engineering Management System. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and improve systems.
  • Integrate systems and processes working with the Safety & Environment team.
  • Management review of Quality and Environmental systems.
  • Manage system objectives.
  • Maintain procedures, systems and system certification.
  • Managing and improving auditing processes and plans.
  • Support the business in Continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with and support Depot Engineering Managers, Depot Managers and Fleet Managers on system assurance and process management improvements.
  • Maintain and manage central CAR tracking system, producing periodic reports of CAR, observations & recommendation status.
  • Must have an understanding of environmental processes in accordance with ISO 14001, including duty of care responsibilities. Ensure effective management of the environmental aspects of all processes in line with ISO 14001.

You’ll need:

  • Experience of operating management systems including BS EN ISOs 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001
  • Exceptional communication and people skills.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
