We're looking for a Talent & People Coordinator to join our People team at Great State. This role combines recruitment and HR support, with a strong focus on delivering a thoughtful, organised and positive hiring experience from first conversation through to onboarding. You’ll manage recruitment coordination end‑to‑end across the business, helping teams hire well, move efficiently and give candidates a great experience throughout the process. Alongside recruitment, you’ll support the day‑to‑day running of the People function across onboarding, HR administration and employee experience. This role would suit someone who enjoys both people operations and recruitment, and who is comfortable balancing detail, communication and pace in a growing agency environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Recruitment and talent coordination
- Manage recruitment processes from initial hiring request through to offer and onboarding
- Coordinate job briefs with hiring managers to understand role requirements, timelines and team needs
- Write and post job adverts across relevant platforms
- Proactively recruit candidates into the process
- Manage applications through Greenhouse ATS
- Screen candidates and coordinate interviews
- Act as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Ensure a high‑quality candidate experience with clear, timely communication
- Work closely with hiring managers to keep recruitment processes moving efficiently
- Liaise with recruiters and external partners where required
- Prepare offer paperwork and support offer conversations
- Coordinate onboarding for new starters, including contracts, systems and induction planning
- Support improvements to recruitment processes, candidate experience and employer brand activity
- Help build talent pipelines for future hiring needs
- People and HR support
- Support the day‑to‑day administration of the People function
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Assist with onboarding and probation processes
- Support employee lifecycle administration including contractual changes and leavers
- Help coordinate learning, wellbeing and engagement initiatives
- Support managers and employees with general People queries
- Assist with HR reporting and documentation
- Support policy updates and People projects where needed
What we’re looking for
- Essential
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR, talent coordination or people operations
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence managing multiple priorities at once
- Comfortable working with people at different levels across the business

Working pattern
Hybrid working, however, because this role provides day‑to‑day support to employees, managers and candidates, there is an expectation that the successful person will work primarily from the Bristol office to ensure visible, accessible and responsive support across the business. Flexibility is available where appropriate, but this is not intended to be a predominantly remote role. Full time 37.5 hours per week.
