Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily running of a designated room or age group, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safety.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
- Support and mentor team members to promote best practice and professional growth.
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Ensure the individual needs of every child are met through effective key person practice.
- Assist the Nursery Manager with compliance, safeguarding, and health & safety responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, development, and wellbeing.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and cognitively.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Senior Practitioner or Room Leader role.
- In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A caring, positive, and proactive approach to supporting children’s development.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
