Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of early years practitioners to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education for children aged under 3.
  • Create and implement engaging and stimulating activities that promote the development of children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children, adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere within the nursery.
  • Monitor children's progress and development, conducting observations and assessments to inform planning and individualized learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with the nursery management team to contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and practices.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Proven experience working with children aged under 3 in an early years setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting their well-being and development.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its application in practice.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
