Great Starts Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Third in Charge to join a well established, high quality nursery in Brentwood. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Room Leader looking to progress into a leadership role within a supportive Early Years setting.
The Role
As Third in Charge you will support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the day to day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of childcare, education and compliance are maintained at all times. You will play a key role within the leadership team, supporting staff across rooms, maintaining ratios and stepping up in the absence of senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily running of the nursery
- Deliver high quality childcare in line with EYFS
- Lead by example and support junior members of staff
- Assist with staff rotas, ratios and room organisation
- Ensure safeguarding and compliance standards are met
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Step into a leadership role when required
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification essential
- Experience as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner
- Strong knowledge of EYFS framework
- Good understanding of safeguarding and compliance
- Confident supporting and leading a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Salary and Benefits
