Great Starts Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established nursery group celebrating 20 years of delivering outstanding early years education. With 20 nursery settings across the UK, our client offers excellent long-term career progression, training and stability.
We are recruiting a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator to join a welcoming and supportive team at their Barking nursery.
Early Years Educator Role Overview
This is a full-time Early Years Educator role working Monday to Friday on a shift basis. The nursery operates between 7:45am and 6:00pm and provides high-quality childcare and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Key Person for a group of children
- Deliver engaging, child-centred learning experiences
- Support children’s learning and development in line with EYFS
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress
- Maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
- Promote children’s wellbeing, safeguarding and welfare
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Work effectively as part of a nursery team
- Follow nursery policies, procedures and confidentiality guidelines
Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Passionate about early childhood development
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, organised and professional
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to undergo check)
- At least 2 satisfactory references
