NURSERY MANAGER
North Walsham
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum
Age group: Nursery-wide
Qualification: Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Start date: 7 September 2026
The role
Great Starts Recruitment is working with an Early Years setting in North Walsham to recruit an experienced Nursery Manager. This is an opportunity to lead a committed team, champion excellent practice and create an environment in which children and staff can flourish.
Key responsibilities
• Lead the day-to-day running of the nursery, creating a warm, safe and ambitious environment for children and staff.
• Maintain high standards across safeguarding, EYFS practice, health and safety, ratios, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team through effective supervision, coaching and performance management.
• Drive quality improvement and ensure the setting is well prepared for Ofsted inspection.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and the wider community, while supporting occupancy and nursery performance.
What we're looking for
• A full and relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3.
• A sound understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Previous leadership or senior Early Years experience appropriate to the level of the role.
• Confident communication, organisation and team-leadership skills.
