This role is part of a small team within the Haemophilia Centre at GOSH. The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients and their families as they enter the centre. They will be responsible for basic secretarial functions, assisting with patient-related queries, as well as booking appointments and recording clinic attendance. The role will also include working closely with the Centre Manager to create national haemophilia reports and aid in the financial and data management of the centre. Attention to detail is an essential attribute for the postholder, as they will be editing clinical letters and registering patients. Another important aspect of the role will be assisting with the promotion and use of Haemtrack – a therapy recording system that allows patients and their families to record their use of treatment through a smartphone. This will involve contacting and interacting with patients in person or via email or phone, therefore good communication skills are also important.

The Haemophilia Centre is seeking an experienced Administrator with excellent communication skills who is patient focused with previous administration experience preferably within a NHS environment. Reporting to the Haemophilia Centre Manager, you will be responsible for administering the Haemophilia Centre’s administration services and daily functions.

The centre runs Mondays to Fridays. You will be responsible for carrying out the daily administrative functions. You will engage with patients, consultants, referrers and external providers as well as staff members across all other departments within the wider trust to provide them with world class care customer service. An impeccable telephone and email manner and confidence in dealing with people at all levels are essential. You should be a team player, meticulous, detail oriented and enthusiastic with the ability to work in a challenging and changing environment.
