Are you a paid social specialist who loves getting into campaigns, testing ideas and finding ways to improve performance?
Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is looking for a Senior Paid Social Executive to manage paid social campaigns from brief through to evaluation.
Working hands‑on in Meta and alongside our media agency, you’ll use audience insight, creative thinking and performance data to deliver campaigns that inspire people to take action.
You’ll work across fundraising and brand campaigns, collaborating with teams across the charity to test, learn and continually improve what we do.

The salary for this role is £40,909 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector.
To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage paid social campaigns end‑to‑end, from briefing and planning through to campaign build, optimisation, reporting and evaluation.
- Develop paid social plans that bring together audience insight, creative thinking and performance objectives.
- Take a hands‑on role in Meta Ads Manager, monitoring campaigns and making informed optimisation decisions to improve conversion, ROI and overall performance.
- Plan and run tests across audiences, creative, messaging and formats—using what you learn to make current and future campaigns better.
- Work closely with our media agency, creative and content teams to develop paid social activity that is engaging, platform‑appropriate and built around audience needs.
- Use campaign data and tools such as GA4 to identify trends, understand performance and turn insight into clear recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with fundraising, marketing and other teams across the charity, helping stakeholders understand campaign plans, performance and opportunities.
- Keep curious about what's changing across paid social, from emerging formats and platform developments to privacy and measurement, and share useful learning with the wider team.
- Manage allocated paid social budgets carefully, ensuring our investment is focused where it can have the greatest impact.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Proven hands‑on experience planning, building and optimising paid social campaigns, particularly using Meta Ads Manager.
- Experience managing paid social campaigns from initial brief through to evaluation, with a strong understanding of conversion and ROI.
- Experience working with media agencies or external media partners.
- Strong understanding of paid social audiences, targeting, retargeting, testing and campaign optimisation.
- Experience analysing campaign performance and turning data into clear recommendations and actionable insights.
- Understanding of paid social creative best practice and how creative, audience and media work together to drive performance.
- Working knowledge of GA4, measurement, tracking and attribution.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues at different levels across an organisation.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance several campaigns and priorities at once.
- A curious, proactive approach—you enjoy experimenting, learning and finding better ways to do things.
