We’re looking for a Manager in our Data Management team to guide a small, talented team to deliver accurate, compliant and timely data services across our fundraising directorate. You’ll combine people leadership with hands-on know-how in Salesforce and data operations. Day to day you’ll run triage and planning, coach and develop your direct reports, and own quality assurance for imports, training, Direct Debit and Gift Aid claims.
Please note, this role is known internally as Data Management Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prioritise team workload, balancing BAU, projects and ad-hoc requests.
- Coach, support and develop team members through 1:1s and performance meetings.
- Drive data processing optimisation and automation into Salesforce, ensuring reconciled, audit-ready outputs.
- Oversee Direct Debit processing cycles and HMRC Gift Aid claims; implement appropriate peer review and sign-off controls.
- Prioritise and supervise the design, mapping, build and test of ETL integrations in Boomi.
- Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and ETL tool (e.g., Boomi); familiarity with basic scripting.
- Hands-on experience with bulk imports, data quality and reconciliations.
- Practical knowledge of GDPR, BACS Direct Debit processes and HMRC Gift Aid in a fundraising context.
- Strong data management fundamentals: mapping, data quality, governance and documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail; organised, methodical and calm under pressure.
The Data Management team sits within the wider Fundraising Data and Operations team. It comprises 1 manager with 3 direct reports. The team manages supporter, event and donation data, their key processes include bulk imports, Salesforce training, Direct Debit collections and HMRC Gift Aid claims.
