We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Breakfast Chef at Manchester Airport, working in our outlets to deliver exceptional food and outstanding customer service with a highly trained and motivated team. As a Breakfast Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen brigade’s day‑to‑day operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency.
The Great Northern Market concept at Manchester Airport includes six kitchens, offering a diverse range of cuisines such as fried chicken, smashed burgers, burritos, hand‑stretched pizza, Asian, Greek, and a breakfast menu. The venue has approximately 470 covers and operates from 3 am to 10 pm. This is an hourly paid role, and shifts will be early‑morning starts (e.g., 2 a.m. onwards) and finishing by midday (e.g., 12 pm), with no requirement for split or double shifts.

The Role
As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for delivering well‑prepared breakfast dishes in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and allergen protocols. You’ll work closely with the front‑of‑house team to deliver a positive experience for every guest.

- Previous kitchen, food preparation, and service experience (airport setting helpful but not essential).
- The ability to identify and address potential health, safety, and hygiene concerns, escalating where necessary.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- The ability to manage stock, reducing waste, and maximising revenue.
