We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to maintain our beautiful Great Hallingbury Manor hotel, complete repairs, and ensure compliance with all safety checks associated with the site, such as fire alarms, lighting, and water tanks. This is an 'on the tools' role with lots of variety:

  • Broken handle? No problem.
  • Scuffs on wall? Paintbrush is already out.
  • Hot water's low? You're already checking the boiler.
  • Small leak? No issue.
  • Light bulbs gone? On it.

You see the issue and know how to resolve it. This role may be considered on a part-time basis or full-time, working across multiple hotel sites on the Essex-Herts-Suffolk border. Set in a beautiful lakeside location, close to Stansted Airport, with lakeside lodges and 64 rooms, Great Hallingbury Manor has undergone extensive renovations over the past year. It is a fabulous site with history and modernity combined.

The ideal Maintenance Manager will have:

  • Extensive maintenance knowledge and experience making repairs - advantageous for Part P or other trade qualifications.
  • Great communication and organisation skills - to prioritise workloads and work with colleagues.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety requirements and processes.
  • A strong understanding of hotel operations would be advantageous.
