About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IP attorney who has worked extensively with clients in the biotech or life sciences space and is ready to take on a bold new chapter. If you\’ve trained in a top-tier firm and are now craving autonomy, impact, and deep involvement in breakthrough science, this could be your moment.

What You\’ll Do

  • Join our in-house legal team and collaborate across legal and operational teams within the studio.
  • Partner directly with founders and biotech teams across our venture portfolio.
  • Lead IP strategy, filings, and negotiations for early-stage therapeutics and diagnostics.
  • Shape the legal infrastructure for newcos—from licensing deals to spinouts.
  • Help structure and protect defensible IP at the intersection of biotech and AI.
  • Serve as a legal and strategic thought partner to science-first operators.

We\’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in IP law, especially with biotech/life sciences clients.
  • At least 4–7 years at a top firm or in-house, focused on relevant IP work.
  • Expertise in patent prosecution, freedom to operate, and licensing.
  • Familiarity with venture creation and early-stage deal structuring is a plus.
  • Someone energized by uncharted territory, ambiguity, and rapid iteration.
