Role Purpose
To own end-to-end recruitment for the UK business and keep Great Foods constantly stocked with talent. You will proactively and continuously source, attract and hire strong candidates (particularly for sales and office roles), and you will track and report on employee performance metrics to help build and sustain a high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously source and pipeline candidates ahead of need, using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking and agencies; never let the talent pipeline run dry.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: write and post adverts, screen and shortlist, interview, coordinate stakeholders, make offers and onboard new starters.
- Build and maintain a ready talent pool for sales and office positions.
- Track employee performance metrics: set up and maintain KPI and performance dashboards, monitor probation and performance milestones, and support managers with review data.
- Maintain accurate recruitment and HR records and produce regular hiring and performance reporting.
- Partner with the Head of Global Sales and UK Sales management on workforce planning and hiring priorities.
- Support onboarding, induction and retention initiatives to keep new hires engaged and performing.
- Ensure all recruitment is fair, consistent and compliant with the company’s equal opportunities policy and UK employment law.
Person Specification
Essential
- Proven inhouse or agency recruitment / talent acquisition experience with a strong track record of hires.
- Excellent proactive sourcing skills across multiple channels.
- Able to manage multiple vacancies and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with HR data, KPIs and performance reporting.
- Organised, driven and able to work to hiring targets.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience recruiting sales or commercial roles.
- Familiarity with performance management and KPI frameworks.
- CIPD or other HR qualification.
- Experience with an ATS or HRIS.
Remuneration & Benefits
- £45,000 per year, paid monthly.
- £1,000 bonus for each new hire who remains employed beyond 6 months.
- 28 days’ holiday per year, inclusive of bank holidays (5.6 weeks).
- Workplace pension (auto‑enrolment).
- Office‑based role in central Reading, close to the station and The Oracle.
