Overview
Our client, a leading medical device manufacturer in Scarborough, is looking for certified MIG Welder to join their team for a 3 month assignment.
Shift: 8:30 am-5 pm (Monday to Friday)
Location: Scarborough, ON (McNicoll & Markham)
Responsibilities
- Setting up welding machines and using specific welding procedures.
- MIG welding of steel components based on specifications.
- Assemble items as instructed by your team lead.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment manually (up to 40lbs).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 yearsβ experience in manufacturing, particularly metal fabrication and quality control.
- Must have welding certification or MIG welding ticket.
- Experience with steel and grinding is required.
- Knowledge of machines and tools
- Ability to identify and measure material
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Demonstrated a professional, positive attitude and possesses a strong, dependable work ethic.
- Articulate β good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of health and safety principles and applications in the welding shop/ workplace.
