Forklift Operator - Woodbridge

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company is looking for Certified Forklift Operators to start as soon as possible, at their Woodbridge location.

Full time positions. Must have 3-5 years or more experience in a warehouse, manufacturing environment.

Location: Highway 407 and Weston Rd (Woodbridge, ON)

Shifts Available:

1. Morning shift 7:00 am- 3:00 pm
2. Afternoon shift 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
3. Night shift 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Pay Rates:

1. Morning shift – Base pay $22.66/hr + 4% vacation pay = $23.56 per hour
2. Afternoon shift – Base pay $23.16/hr + 4% vacation pay = $24.08 per hour
3. Night shift- Base pay $23.66/hr + 4% vacation pay = $24.60 per hour

Responsibilities:

1. Operate forklifts to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
2. Load and unload trucks, ensuring that items are handled safely and efficiently.
3. Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
4. Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience for 3-5 or more years as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within manufacturing or warehouse distribution.
2. Must have valid forklift certification specifically in Counterbalance – both Electric & Propane; Reach, and Walkie is good to have.
3. Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance.
4. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
5. Basic math skills for accurate order picking and inventory management.
6. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift up to 30 lbs.
7. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must Have:

1. CSA approved steel-toed safety shoes/boots, safety glasses, safety vest and earplugs. Must be comfortable wearing them all the time while working.
2. Must be able to work full time every week.
3. Must be eligible to work legally in Canada.
4. Can work in-person and stand for longer periods of time as required.
