We're looking for a passionate General Manager to lead one of our busy pub restaurants in St Albans, delivering exceptional hospitality, building a high-performing team and creating memorable experiences for every guest.
Great British Inns is a growing collection of pubs and restaurants across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
Our venues are known for serving fresh, delicious Great British classics in welcoming surroundings, alongside private dining, celebrations and community events.

The Role As General Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, leading your team to deliver outstanding customer experiences while driving sales, maintaining high operational standards and creating a positive culture where people thrive.
You'll be supported by an experienced senior leadership team while having the autonomy to run your business as if it were your own.
Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the business.
Recruit, train and develop a high-performing team.
Drive sales, profitability and achieve business targets.
Manage labour, stock and operating costs to maximise profitability.
Ensure exceptional standards across food, drink and customer experience.
Maintain compliance with food safety, licensing and health & safety legislation.
Build strong relationships within the local community to drive trade.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to grow and develop the business.
Create a positive, supportive and engaging working environment.
About You Previous experience as a General Manager or an experienced Deputy/Assistant Manager ready to take the next step.
Proven leadership experience within a busy hospitality environment.
Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour and GP.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
A hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor with the team.
Highly organised with the ability to perform under pressure.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and busy trading periods.
