On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Senior Design Engineer - CAD / PLM (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract based hybrid in Aldermaston.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a background in engineering design and CAD and/or PLM systems to join a specialist engineering environment on an initial 12-month contract.Working within the Facility Design Authority, you will support the management and delivery of engineering design information, with a particular focus on CAD, PLM and configuration-controlled engineering processes.The role will support the transition to a new PLM environment and contribute to the safe and compliant delivery of engineering design solutions within a highly regulated environment.As a Senior Design Engineer - CAD / PLM, your main responsibilities will be to:* Develop and manage design information using CAD and PLM systems.* Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, engineering standards, specifications and organisational requirements.* Support the design and development of utilities, infrastructure, equipment, engineering processes and facilities.* Contribute to engineering design activities across the facility lifecycle.* Review and assess engineering designs to ensure they meet required technical and compliance standards.* Work with relevant engineering and technical stakeholders to develop appropriate design solutions.* Maintain accurate and controlled engineering design documentation and information.* Support the implementation and optimisation of PLM workflows and engineering change processes.PLEASE NOTE: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing
