On behalf of NRS, we are looking for a Project Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract based in Hunterston. PSR is working with NRS (formerly known as Magnox) to identify the most talented people on the market. As a Project Engineer, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project.
  • Contribute to production of Project Execution Plan including design, safety case and commissioning strategies.
  • Develop concept design and fit for purpose engineering solution for projects.
  • Produce and/or approve project technical specifications.
  • Manage detailed design activities in accordance with design authority standards.
  • Support commissioning activities within operational plant environments, conducting pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and system handovers in line with safety and technical standards.
  • Operate effectively in highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and governance frameworks while supporting audit and assurance processes.
  • Possess applied Mechanical / EC.
