On behalf of UK Parliament, we are looking for a Contract Lead (Inside IR35) for a 6 month hybrid contract based in Westminster, London. The successful candidate will have an expectation of 2 office working days per week and the remainder will be working from home. CTC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum, you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ), preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Contract Lead, your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead delivery of the contract management strategy through effective supplier and business partnering
- Drive best value outcomes across an assigned contract portfolio
- Act as a commercial contract management business partner, building strong stakeholder relationships
- Provide expert support and advice to contract managers across the organisation
- Own and deliver contract management improvement strategy across directorates
- Lead contract negotiations in line with governance, policy, and Senior Contract Owner requirements
- Deliver contract performance insights, reporting, and pipeline/expiry management
- Support pre-procurement and mobilisation, embedding strong contract management from the outset
- Develop and deliver training, tools, and best practice to build commercial capability
- Promote and enhance systems, data, and MI reporting to support spend and performance tracking
- Act as an ambassador for organisational values and behaviours
Experience managing internal stakeholder relationships (senior level)
Strong end-to-end contract management capability across full lifecycle
Ability to commercially manage contracts, ensuring value and compliance
Strong focus on data, performance, and MI within contract management
Experience analysing contract performance and driving improvements
