About the Role

Great British Energy is looking for a Commercial Manager to join our onshore development department. This role will play a key part in contributing to projects, objectives, and wider organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy for renewable energy projects from pre-FID through construction.
  • Working with the Project and Investment teams, support investment cases, FID packs, and project approvals with robust commercial input.
  • Ensure adherence to internal commercial governance, delegation of authority, and assurance requirements.
  • Lead Commercial sections of the Project Gate reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in commercial management, quantity surveying, or project controls.
  • Background in renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, or major capital projects.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Law, or similar.
  • Professional membership (e.g. RICS, CIPS, CIMA, CIArb, CICES).
