We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor for our site in Great Bear Heywood.

Job Description

Shift: 4ON 4OFF Nights - 18:00pm-06:00am.

Salary: £33,000 per annum - £35,000 per annum.

As a Shift Supervisor you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the Shift Operations Manager in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety within the Warehouse are maintained and product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in order to meet contractual KPI\'s.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring that Health & Safety is \'No1 on the agenda\' aligned with the overall site and business goals and guidelines.
  • Manage and motivate the shift team in order to ensure that productivity and service KPI\'s are achieved or exceeded.
  • Deliver communication briefings so that all shifts are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input / improvements and feel involved.
  • Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan.
  • Carry out disciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure.
  • Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with Company policy and carry out return to work interviews effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor and control time and attendance system.
  • To offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues and highlighting good performance and areas for further development.
  • Labour planning, by ensuring the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost effectively run the shift.
  • Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures.
  • Support Shift Operations Manager in any all aspects of the operation
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Should have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of WMS systems would be useful but not essential.
  • Experience in a packing, or e-commerce operation would be advantageous.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of detail
  • PC Literate in MS Word, Excel and Outl
