We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team at our growing Harworth site. As a Transport Planner, you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and able to deal with day-to-day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Working hours: Monday - Friday

Salary: £30,894 per annum

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

  • Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
  • Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24-hour period.
  • Subcontract and plan orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
  • Plan daily workload of fleet vehicles based on site and outbases.
  • Report problems and deal with issues and any queries that may arise.
  • Plan approximately 100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
  • Maintain and exceed agreed KPIs.
  • Proactively look for continuous improvements.
  • Make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
  • Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support of Warrens when volumes dictate.

Qualifications:

  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
  • Customer focus on delivery performance.
  • Commercially and financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
  • Experience of using a TMS system.
  • Experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong analytical and Excel capability across standard formulas.
