Job Description

We are looking for a confident and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join our Deeside operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a fast-paced, modern warehouse environment where you will lead a team, supporting our e-fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer-specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

In this role, you will support the Shift Manager in leading, motivating and developing the team, while making sure productivity, quality, health and safety, and customer service standards are achieved every day. You will play a key part in keeping the operation running smoothly and ensuring all customer requirements are delivered to a high standard. The role is working 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 07:00 - 19:00.

Salary: £28505.28, plus £2000 shift allowance

What you'll be doing:

  • Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff operating within this area.
  • Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities in this area.
  • To ensure compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures through safe systems of work and practices, good housekeeping and the provision of information and training to the warehouse team to ensure total safety awareness.
  • To monitor and motivate a team's performance against target productivities and customer expectations.
  • To assist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching, and to evaluate training effectiveness in terms of improved individual and team performance and the maximum flexibility of team members.
  • To review with the management team and individual members opportunities for improving work methods and practices on a continuous basis.
  • To offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues and highlighting good performance and areas for further development.
  • To monitor and control levels of planned and unplanned absence and take appropriate action to ensure cover, as necessary, and manage reductions of unacceptable levels.
  • To participate as an active member of the management team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus and team working.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar warehouse environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to motivate teams.
  • Experience working in fast paced warehouse environment.
  • Team player who can also work on own initiative.
  • Able to manage own time to achieve daily targets efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns in order to cover for absence.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • PC Literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
