Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Warehouse Operative to join our busy and modern site in Worksop, supporting a fast-paced E-Fulfilment operation for a well-known international brand. Working within a Beer, Wines and Spirits environment, you will play an important role in keeping stock moving safely, accurately and efficiently while being part of a reliable and supportive team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling, stowing, picking, packing and sorting customer products safely and accurately, while assembling orders in line with customer requirements and warehouse procedures. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working 12-hour Night shifts on a 4 on, 4 off rotation, including weekends, from 18:00 - 06:00. Salary: £30,264.

What you'll be doing:

  • Receive customer products accurately and handle all goods in line with warehouse procedures.
  • Stow stock correctly in designated storage areas while maintaining product quality and accuracy.
  • Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently to ensure orders are fulfilled in full and on time.
  • Pack products safely and correctly in line with packaging standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain product integrity and quality standards at all times.
  • Sort parcels accurately into the correct destination shuttles ready for dispatch.
  • Use handheld or radio data terminal equipment to complete warehouse tasks effectively.
  • Work to performance targets and KPIs while maintaining accuracy and safety.
  • Follow all client-specific order requirements and site procedures.
  • Use equipment safely and in line with training at all times.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is desirable.
  • Confident working to targets and KPI standards in a busy operation.
  • Willingness to work across different warehouse areas to support operational needs.
  • Comfortable handling alcohol products within a Beer, Wines and Spirits operation.
  • A good standard of verbal communication and numerical reasoning.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and open to training and new ways of working.
  • Reliable, conscientious and committed to high standards.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • MHE experience is desirable but not essential.

Important Information

As part of your induction and training, successful candidates will complete an initial training period at our replica site in Deeside, Flintshire. This will provide you with the knowledge and experience needed to understand the operation, equipment and systems ahead of go-live. The training period will run from 27th July to 21st August, working Monday to Thursday from 18:00 to 06:00. Transport will be provided from Worksop to Deeside, and you will be paid for your travel time. If you are unable to commit to the training period, please let the recruitment team know so alternative options can be discussed.
