Supporting our e-fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer-specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Reporting to the Stock and Systems Manager, this role will facilitate day-to-day processes within the supervision of the department, ensuring that all stock control team KPI targets are met or exceeded and involved in continuous improvement.
Key Duties of a Stock and Systems Supervisor:
- Assist the Inventory Stock & Systems Manager in the day-to-day running of the Stock and Admin department.
- Resolve stock & system issues.
- Schedule and supervise the activities and functions of the Stock & Admin staff.
- Ensure the proper and timely completion of all Stock & Admin activities.
- Maintain records of the Stock and Admin staff performance and personal files.
- Provide feedback on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues, highlighting good performance.
- Offer suggestions and assist in the organisation of training and development for the stock team and Stock and Admin staff, including on-the-job coaching.
- Assist the Inventory Stock & Admin Manager in controlling levels of planned and unplanned absence and take appropriate action to ensure cover and contribute to reductions of unacceptable levels.
- Participate in maintaining high Health & Safety levels.
- Deputise for the Inventory Manager when required.
- Work as a Stock Controls deputy in emergency situations.
- Process stock reconciliation, resolve stock discrepancies, customer requests and stock amendments in a timely and accurate manner, whilst adhering to operational processes and procedures.
- Supervise and contribute to track & trace requests, product recall and quality assurance.
- Monitor and schedule daily, weekly & monthly stock count checks.
- Full reconciliation & adjustment of all stock counts.
- Stay in communication with other Managers/Supervisors and Operational Team ensuring smooth flow of operations.
- Be involved in maintaining systems configuration.
- Assist with visitors & stock audits.
- Travel and take part in monthly meetings with customers.
- Participate in business projects and developments.
- Provide feedback to the operations team on non-conformance of processes and look at ways to improve operational processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role and good knowledge of stock control is required.
- Must have experience of working within a warehouse environment and adhere to tight deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An organised and focused approach to all administrative duties.
- PC Literate on intermediate level (Word, Excel and Outlook).
