The IT Programme Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex, multi-site IT programmes β with a specific focus on warehousing and logistics technologies across the Ambient division. The role ensures programmes are prioritised, governed effectively, delivered on time, and fully aligned to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities of the IT Programme Manager:
- Ensure prioritisation, planning, and successful delivery of major IT programmes across warehousing and logistics.
- Operate within Culina Groupβs PMO governance framework β including PID creation, RAID management, reporting, and gate reviews.
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, providing direction, coaching, and escalation support.
- Manage programme budgets, resources, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Maintain strong communication with senior leadership (CXO/MD/Director level).
- Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Report progress and status to the Senior Management Team through structured updates.
- Oversee supplier engagement and foster strategic partner relationships.
- Ensure change management and operational readiness activities are embedded into programme delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement, challenge assumptions, and ensure outcomes deliver real business value.
Requirements:
- Proven track record delivering large-scale IT programmes within logistics, supply chain, or warehousing environments.
- Strong adaptability β able to work across multiple sites and respond quickly to shifting priorities.
- Senior leadership experience mentoring Project Managers and developing delivery capability.
- High proficiency in Project Management applications and PPM tools (e.g., Planview, Clarizen).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including at C-suite level.
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) and Waterfall.
- Excellent problem-solving capability, able to develop innovative and practical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability across technical and non-technical teams.
Desirable:
- Experience in third-party logistics.
- Agile certifications (PRINCE2, Agile), MSP.
- Experience with Jira, BDD, DevOps or Agile Testing practices.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- ITIL 4.
