We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Delivery Manager for our Midlands Sites, to lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure-focused projects across our network. This is a key role responsible for ensuring that infrastructure initiatives—ranging from site moves and warehouse deployments to network, server and EUC implementations—are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with IT Project Managers, Heads of Infrastructure, and IT Operations, you’ll play a vital role in supporting major business change programmes across our logistics and transport sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects
- Define infrastructure requirements, deliverables, and resource plans
- Develop, manage, and communicate delivery plans, timelines, and milestones
- Ensure high-quality, timely delivery in line with business expectations
- Manage project budgets, resources, and external suppliers
- Build, lead, and coordinate multi-disciplinary delivery teams (internal & 3rd parties)
- Track, report, and communicate progress to stakeholders and project teams
- Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests
- Ensure seamless handover to BAU/support teams
- Collaborate with Heads of Infrastructure & IT Operations to ensure stable and reliable solutions
- Work with procurement on third-party engagement and contract processes
- Foster strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted delivery partner
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative working environment
Logistics experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Qualifications:
- Degree or relevant solid project management experience
- Business and/or computing related apprenticeship/degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering IT Infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in project delivery, people management, project planning, requirements management, change management, supplier management, risk & issue management
- Experience managing 3rd party and outsourcing vendors
- Proven experience in sponsor and stakeholder management
- Ability to 'think out the box' and when under pressure
- Excellent communicator
- Knowledge of IT applications
- Experience in the successful implementation of complex projects
- Ideally previous experience in Warehousing, Logistics, FMCG
- Willingness to travel as and where needed
- Maybe required to work outside of normal business hours
