We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join our transport operation, delivering goods on behalf of our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring full compliance with company and legal requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys driving larger vehicles and working independently.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday shifts. Start times range between 4am and 8am; some flexibility required (typically 06:00-16:00, may be moved before and after). Typically 10 hour shifts, depending on delivery routes. 50 hours per week, plus overtime at time and half.
Salary: £38,270.47 per annum
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Complete approximately 5/8 multi-drop deliveries per day
- Safely load, secure, and transport goods
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service at every drop
- Ensure full compliance with tachograph / WTD regulations and road laws
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding delays or issues
What We’re Looking For:
- Full UK Driving Licence - Category C (Class 2)
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 / multi-drop experience preferred (training can be provided)
- Good knowledge of local and regional road networks
- Ability to handle and lift goods safely
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work
