Due to continued growth and new customer contracts, our Desborough site are now recruiting for a Distribution Administrator to join their friendly team on a full time permanent basis.

Salary: £15.05 per hour.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off Nights, 17:45-05:45.

Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will work as part of a team to manage both the inbound and outbound process for drivers arriving and leaving site. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of information to both the Operations Controllers and the Warehouse.

Key Duties of a Distribution Administrator:

  • Facilitating the inbound and outbound process for drivers arriving and leaving site.
  • Booking drivers into site, using the correct process and system.
  • Ensuring the correct inbound paperwork is received, providing the correct despatch paperwork in line with customer requirements.
  • Managing the Transwider Booking system and update in real time.
  • Working with the Operations Controllers to manage yard movement and trailer allocation.
  • Completing the NSL report.
  • Greeting visitors and drivers in a professional manner.
  • Communicating inbound activity directly to the Warehouse.
  • Using the CCTV system to confirm bay availability and trailer movement in real time.
  • Managing the Access Control System.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety Legislation, ensuring all Company policies and procedures for Health & Safety are carried out.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by your line manager that are deemed as reasonable.

Qualifications:

  • PC Literate including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of the Autostore WMS system.
  • Experience in the use of CCTV systems.
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of the Transwide Booking System.
  • Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Flexible in cross training and providing support to the Warehouse as well as sickness and holiday cover.
