Job Description
- Position: HGV Class 2 Driver
- Shift: Monday-Friday 06:00am
- Salary: £36,596 per annum
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and safe delivery to customers, including delivering wines and possibly curbside deliveries with manual lifting.
- Complete paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
- Perform multidrop deliveries as required.
- Observe and adhere to company rules, health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of transport department operations.
- Manage working hours according to Road Transport Directive.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned.
- Achieve fuel efficiency targets.
- Perform any other duties reasonably required.
Qualifications
- Class C entitlement.
- Physically fit for manual lifting.
- Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and drivers’ hours.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
