The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 Β£ per hour.
Shift Pattern: 4ON 4OFF Nights - 18:00pm-06:00am.
Salary: Basic - Β£14.01 per hour + Β£1.00 per hour 4ON 4OFF allowance + Β£1.00 per hour Shift allowance.
Your job duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Observing and adhering to company rules, site procedures and all aspects of Health & Safety and Hygiene at all times.
- Effectively managing own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
- Liaising with colleagues and ensuring completion of shift report.
- Conducting daily checks, immediately reporting any defects and/or damage and completing associated documentation.
- Carrying out trailer checks on loaded trailers and reporting to ops staff.
- Completing trailer checklist and reporting to operations desk.
- Carrying out shunting duties including relevant maintenance and safety checks.
- Liaising with the warehouse control and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading/unloading of trailers.
- Completing vehicles downloads as per the company policy.
- Monitoring services/MOTs β liaising with Transport Office and with service vendor.
- Assisting with fuel delivery/manual dip of fuel.
- Keeping yard in clean/tidy condition.
- Liaising with Transport Office as and when required i.e. special promotions and/or livery schedules.
- Managing the flow of traffic in and out of the yard.
Qualifications:
- A Full C+E, CPC and Tacho Card is essential for this position.
- Previous experience of Shunting will be essential.
- Attention to detail/accurate.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Adaptable and methodical approach to work/training.
- Conscientious and reliable.
- Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
