We are currently recruiting a Finance Operations Business Partner to partner with the senior operational team including the Directors and General Managers, to provide accurate and timely key financial metrics to support and shape the financial performance of multiple depots within a specific region.

As a Finance Operations Business Partner, you will be responsible for driving change within the Business, saving costs, and ensuring deadlines are met. You will also be responsible for two Management Accountants, and will assist with their development.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the team in delivering timely, accurate, insightful financial information. This will involve supporting in renewals or new business.
  • Produce key financial metrics to support the weekly costings commentary. This will include presenting variance analysis to the senior operations team, detailing areas of operational and commercial focus.
  • Responsible for delivery of budgets, forecasts and rolling forecasts for their sites.
  • Responsible for financial customer management, leading monthly reviews and customer packs.
  • Manage and develop a small finance team, responsible for up to 2 Management Accountants, working within a team of 6 overall.
  • Support the finance team with delivery of monthly management accounts and providing key variances to be costed to the Business.
  • Investigate ways of improving efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Numerous project tasks as required from the General Manager and other internal stakeholders.
  • Manage customer debt and update company cashflow forecast.

Qualifications and experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA qualifications are ideal but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a Finance Operations Business Partner role or similar is desired.
  • Attention to detail and analytical approach.
  • Experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral.
  • Questioning and enquiring approach with a real desire to seek out new methods that will allow more efficient provision of accurate financial data.
  • Comfortable working individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and improvement ideas for the benefit of the Company and its staff.
  • Hard working and flexible, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
