Salary: Β£35,621 per annum.
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the warehouse team and supporting the Shift Managers in meeting the safety and operational requirements.
Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor:
- Assist the Shift Manager in delivering the warehouse operation, and supporting with responding to any operational issues within the warehouse.
- Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff.
- Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities.
- Take ownership for disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases within the shift.
- Support the delivery of communication briefings so that all colleagues have been briefed and informed.
- Ensure compliance with the Companyβs Health & Safety policy and procedures through safe systems of work and practices, good housekeeping and the provision of information and training to the warehouse team to ensure total safety awareness.
- Support individuals in meeting performance targets and respond to underperformance issues.
- Maintain records of team performance and individual performance against plans, and to advise the Shift Manager of factors that may disrupt operations which cannot be resolved by the team.
- Assist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of operating in various positions within a warehouse, including operating MHE and managing people.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong team player as well as able to work on their own initiative.
- In depth knowledge of operating warehouse systems.
- Good knowledge of health and safety.
- PC Literate to a minimum of intermediate level in MS Office.
- Excellent time management skills and problem solving skills.
