Great Bear (Part of the Culina Group) provides distribution services to FMCG clients. Customer centric service focus is delivered through a site-level empowered culture. We are now recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers on a full-time and permanent position for Great Bear in Harworth.
Job Description
Salary: £14.40 per hour.
Overtime: x 1.5 of the hourly rate - Effective once weekly contracted hours have been worked.
- Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
- Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
- Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
- Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
- Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
- Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
- Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
- Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
- Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum of recent Class 1 Driver - 6 months is essential for this position.
- Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
- Excellent attention to detail
