This position will be available on May 2, 2025. Part-time, up to 25 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled, or at the discretion of Great Bay Community College. In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
SCOPE OF WORK: Provides administrative and technical support for the Nursing and Surgical Technology academic programs. This position reports to the Department Chair of Nursing and Surgical Technology at Great Bay Community College.
Accountabilities:
- Maintains knowledge of GBCC and nursing/surgical technology programs policies and procedures; responds knowledgeably and appropriately to questions from the general public, students, faculty, and clinical agency partners concerning program policies, procedures and requirements.
- Provides administrative support for admissions and clinical onboarding activities, such as scheduling signing/notarization of documents from clinical agency partners, sending attestation documents, preparing welcome packets, coordinating student lab packs, and maintaining confidential academic and student records.
- Performs secretarial duties for faculty and adjuncts, including preparing departmental manuals, syllabi, evaluations, meeting minutes; coordinates departmental communications, marketing materials, and other documentation and materials.
- Assists in the purchase of supplies and equipment, preparing in-house requisitions, gathering cost estimates, tracking invoices, and managing inventory.
- Creates and continually evaluates program and departmental documentation to align with compliance requirements for clinical onboarding processes per affiliation agreements in collaboration with clinical agency partners.
- Works collaboratively with GBCC and CCSNH offices/departments as needed to support the mission of the college; participates on GBCC and CCSNH teams, as appropriate.
- Assists Department Chair and Program Coordinator in preparing reports and managing accreditation documentation; coordinates all aspects of accreditation site visits, including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and ordering refreshments.
- Supervises students in the completion of clinical onboarding, assigns tasks, and provides guidance as needed.
- Operates office technology, such as computers, printers, telephone systems, copy/scanner/fax machines.
- Ensures adherence to college, system, state, and federal regulations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or educational equivalency. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of work experience.
- Experience: Five years of secretarial or administrative support experience.
- License/Certification: None required.
