Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach a 16‑week survey course, World History Since 1500, during the Spring Semester 2026. Applicants must be residents of a New England state and possess a strong academic background in history.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver course material for a 16‑week survey of world history since 1500.
- Teach in an online or blended learning environment, utilizing platforms such as Zoom.
- Engage students through effective online instructional strategies and assessment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Compensation
$825–$975 per contact hour (or $47.95–$59.45 per clinical hour if applicable). Pay is based on adjunct faculty rank, which considers education, industry experience, and teaching experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in History or a related field.
- Prior experience as an instructor of history in higher education, including program implementation, direct service delivery, planning or program evaluation.
- Experience teaching online or blended courses is highly desirable.
