All science disciplines will be considered; however, the ability to teach chemistry is advantageous. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our highly committed, supportive and experienced Science Faculty. Staff morale is high at our school; we have an excellent induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff. All teaching staff are provided with a laptop. The successful candidate will bring passion and enthusiasm for science to encourage, motivate and engage our students and continue to raise standards in this high performing faculty. The sciences are a very popular A level choice and a significant number of our students progress to science-based courses at university. There may be an opportunity to teach A level for a suitably experienced candidate. Our Science Faculty is well resourced with suites of laboratories, preparation rooms and specialist technicians. As a Science Specialist College you will have access to a range of exciting activities and wider STEM initiatives.

Responsibilities: All science disciplines will be considered, however the ability to teach chemistry to KS4 is highly desirable and candidates will be expected to teach across the age and ability range. There may be an opportunity to teach A level for a suitably experienced candidate.

Requirements / Qualifications: Required September 2026. Closing date: Midday on Wednesday 4 February 2026. The role may include teaching across KS4 and, for suitably experienced candidates, A level.
