St Luke's Park Primary School is part of Quantum Multi-Academy Trust and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and capable learning support assistant who will have a positive impact on the children that they work with. Previous experience is highly desirable but not essential.
You will be joining a team of hard working, friendly and adaptable LSAs working under the direction of class teachers supporting in lessons and running interventions. This contract will be a 1-year fixed term contract to work with SEN pupils in KS2 with a range of special educational needs, including autism and complex cognition and learning needs.
Suitable candidates will be able to interact with a wide range of children and use their own interpersonal skills to encourage the most from the children. Supporting groups of pupils and individuals including those with additional needs. Suitable candidates will need to be able to work as part of a team and be able to liaise with other members of staff.
The successful applicant will be organised with good communication skills, able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility, and understand the professional nature of the role. Together with the above attributes, a good standard of English and mathematics is required.
Qualifications: good numeracy and literacy skills - (GCSE or equivalent in English and maths are highly desirable).
