The Role

We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within our Woodlands classroom. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide individual and small-group support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and communication development.
  • Help implement behaviour and learning strategies in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, therapists and parents to ensure consistent support.
  • Work in a complex classroom, supporting pupils with SEND, aiming to get them into their class base.

About You

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has experience of supporting children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
  • Has strong communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Is willing to undertake relevant training to support pupils effectively.
  • Brings energy, empathy and resilience to the role.
